Cronin's Yard, Carrauntoohil

Kerry Mountain Rescue Team
Kerry Mountain Rescue Team was formed in 1966 following the deaths of two climbers on the mountains of Southwest Ireland, and since then has come to the assistance of numerous climbers and walkers in distress. Click To View
The Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team
The Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team was formed in 1983, when the need for a quick response local mountain rescue team was identified. During that year, there were 3 accidents in the area in quick succession - one of which was fatal. Our primary response area covers all mountains in county Wicklow. We are also asked to assist neighbouring teams such as Dublin/Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the South East Mountain Rescue Association outside that primary area. Click To View
Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team
Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team(DWMRT) a proud associate of the Irish Mountain Rescue Association (IMRA). Our team respondes to on average 40-50 calls per annum. We operate on a budget of approximately €50k per year, funded by goverment and fundraising efforts. Click To View

The Irish Coast Guard (IRCG) makes up one arm of the Maritime Safety Services, the other being the Maritime Safety Directorate. Both arms are due to merge into a new "one stop shop" Agency for all maritime safety matters. Click To View
Irish Mountain Rescue Association
Mountain Rescue is a 24 hours/365 days a year voluntary emergency service. Some 300 men and women are ready to help anyone in trouble on the hills at a moment’s notice. Last year the teams assisted over 70 casualties. Sadly while most incidents resulted in minor injuries, there were several fatal accidents. Click To View
