DENIS AND HIS "WONDER DOG" BONZO

I from County Cork.  I joined the Sarda family in January 2004.  I had to be "dog's body" for the next 6 months in all weathers, during which I learned alot about dogs nd how they searched.  I also started training my German Shepherd "Ben".

Unfortunately after 2 years BEN'S training didn't progress as well as I hoped and  I retired him to a lovely home in North Cork.

I completed my first aid course, mountain skills course, search skills course, radio handlers course, water safety course, and a vhf radio course, I also done a k9 training and behaviour handlers course.

In January 2007 I purchased my present dog an 8 week old collie/spaniel cross "Bonzo". He takes to training like a natural.  I took him on his first training weekend to Doolin on the 26th February 2007, just to socialise him.  Since then he passed both his obedience and stock tests. Training is going real well and with some good luck he will qualify real soon.

I am a full member of Sarda where the team-work and craic is second to none.
