Hello my name is Jake and this is my handler Karen.  We started to train with SARDA as I needed a challenge.  I really enjoy running around the mountains, picking up a body scent and charging into the body and indicating by barking.  It took me a while to build up enough confidence to bark happily at strangers but with all the encouragement of SARDA members and family and friends I am now delighted to bark at everyone.  My training is progressing well and Karen has recently completed a mountain skills course which includes map reading and navigation (why doesn’t she just use her nose?) so hopefully she will be able to keep up with me soon.

Karen has decided to retire as a trainee handler and concentrate on agility work with Jake.  She continues to be a friend of SARDA and helps out as a body at training sessions.
