Gerry is pictured here with his dog Jack.

Gerry joined SARDA Ireland in 1999, he has two dogs, Reefer, a black Labrador retriever and Jack, a Border Collie.

Here is his brief tale!

I am in SARDA 6 years now. Jack is training me for a little over 2.5 years. Before that Reefer (black Lab) did his best with me for 2 years. Reefer got sense and retired. Jack is about 4.5 years old and was originally a stray until my wife Orla, took him in, he seems to be Collie /Lab (much more sensible than me).

Gerry's wife Orla, also a member of SARDA, They have three young children including twins so no doubt he will expand on this when he gets a minute, (in 10 years time!!!) Gerry has recently retired Jack ,he continues to be a part of Sarda whilst working hard to gain full team membership with the South Eastern mountain rescue team.
